The Rules
You must have items that meet the criteria below. These criteria are set out as a sliding scale depending on your experience
Your 'wardrobe' must be from a single time and place. You decide what time and what place and you tell us why that "time" is a single time (i.e. in some eras 50 years is a "time" whilst in others 10 years is a "time").
At least two items must have been made since the previous Festival
You must be wearing one of the outfits as part of the demonstration
You can nominate someone else to speak about your work, if public speaking is not your thing. This does not negate rule 4
Evidence
Evidence to back up your talk is a good idea, so that the judges and crowd can understand your decisions and the authenticity of your item and outfit. Think about pictures or relevant primary source materials. A short handout that can be passed around the crowd can help, but is not mandatory. Do not produce a long written document, this competition is about you showcasing your project to other costumers.
